 June is Bike Month in Lake Tahoe!
Bike to Work Month promotes a healthy, environmentally-friendly commute to work, school, and play gets basin residents out of their cars, and reduces traffic. Encouraging bicycling is good for your business! Employees and patrons arrive in a good mood, parking needs are reduced, and our community is a friendly place with many people out on bikes.
May 31 - June 6, 2010: Tahoe Bike Week
In 2009 over 450 Lake Tahoe and Truckee residents rode their bikes to work during Bike to Work, School & Play Week, logging more than 23,000 miles! Commuters, students, and visitors were all encouraged to participate in the Challenge.
